In this episode, Dialogue hosted a TV debate, co-produced by China Global Television Network (CGTN) and Germany’s largest public TV station ARD, to discuss the sticking points between the two countries. Guest speakers from both countries sat down for a genuine dialogue in Berlin about mutual interests and differences. Subscri...
Struggling to cope with record numbers of asylum seekers, Germany told its European partners on Monday they too must take in more refugees, as police in Hungary used pepper spray on desperate migrants who broke out of a reception center at the border. Chancellor Angela Merkel, speaking after a weekend in which 20,000 migrants entered Germany from Hungary by train, bus and on foot, described the influx as "breathtaking" and tried to reassure German citizens that the crisis was manageable. At a news conference in Berlin, she said, "I am happy that Germany has become a country that many people outside of Germany now associate with hope." http://feeds.reuters.com/~r/reuters/topNews/~3/eiRqMCWpWno/story01.htm http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by Wochit using http://wochit.com

German--Iranian relations refer to bilateral relations between Germany and Iran. Official diplomatic relations between Iran and post war Germany began in 1952 when Iran opened its first mission office in Bonn. However Germany and Persia enjoyed diplomatic relations well back into the 19th century. The Qajar era Even before diplomatic ties, unofficial relations had already taken root between the two nations.
